How to Reach Shikinejima
The journey to the island is part of the adventure. You can depart from Takeshiba Pier and choose between two options for detail and booking click here:
1. Large Ship (Budget-Friendly)
I traveled by a large overnight ship. It is cheaper but takes around 10 hours. The experience of sleeping on the ship and waking up near the island is something special.
2. Jet Boat (Fast Option)
If you want to save time, you can take a jet boat, which takes around 3 hours. It is more expensive but very convenient.
Both options depart from the same pier, so you can choose based on your budget and schedule.

First Impression
As soon as I arrived, I felt a sense of calm. The island is quiet, not crowded, and very close to nature. You can hear the ocean, feel the fresh air, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
